The stage was set. They boys had finished smashing cans.

“Guys, would you like to wash the car?” I asked.

“Sure!” my son said. “Wait, let’s talk about this. How much will we earn?”

Clay’s friend didn’t want to wash the car, but he wanted to earn money more.

The soap came out. The bucket was full of water and the hose went on.

Those boys were having fun. They did a good job washing the car.

They had such a good time, they forgot about the money.

“Mr. C, what do you think? Did we do a good job?” they asked.

“Excellent, boys!”

They dried the car off and I began to think of some other chores for them to do.
